The TYAC as an orginization

The Texas Yoga Asana Championship (TYAC) is dedicated to the promotion of yoga throughout Texas and beyond. Its mission is to heal the world, bringing peace and well being one person at a time through the practice of yoga. TYAC’s vision is to unify the entire yoga community by emphasizing this common goal while appreciating the benefits unique to the various disciplines of yoga.

Promoting yoga in Texas and beyond

• Hosting the annual Texas Yoga Asana Championship, a regional qualifying competition for the annual Bishnu Charan Ghosh Cup International Yoga Asana Championship

• Through its website which will host a listing of all TYAC affiliated yoga studios and teachers throughout Texas

• Generating a regular online newsletter focusing on the yoga competitions and what is happening within Texas and worldwide with regards to yoga

• Gathering demographic information from subscribers to the newsletter which can be made available to members in the future.

TYAC has a secondary vision to organize a group of yoga teachers in Texas and create a cooperative association through which its members can get health insurance, open retirement accounts and potentially have access to other benefits that are not available to independent contractors.
